 Wild Beast

It was just a day like any other

Until that very moment I was in the circus

The wild beast who just joined the circus

Trotted to me and begged me to take it

So eventually, I took this beast… unaware of the consequences

It was awfully adorable, I couldn't say no

One day…

It was hungry, so anxiously, I fed it, very aware that one day…

It could just decide to eat me if it wanted

I only set it free before, but this time I let it come to my home whenever it got the chance

This beast wanted more and more food that I couldn't provide

Of course, I complied

What kind of person would I be to let my beloved starve?

Months and months past as this keeps happening

The beast wants to live in my house

He kicked me out and ate everything in my house

Then, eventually…

He came to me

And tried to eat me

This fat and wild beast

Only wanted everything to feast

But I already knew he was going to eat me

So I doused myself in poison

And before he could eat me

He smelled the poison and left me forever

I was devastated

I never thought my wild beast

Would ever do that to me
